The new C segment sedan:CHEVORLET SAIL

General Motors India has launched the eagerly anticipated Chevrolet Sail sedan today at an initial price tag of Rs. 4.99 lakh in both petrol and diesel variants. The Sail sedan range consists of 8 variants with 4 being petrol and 4 being diesel based.
The base petrol model starts at Rs. 4.99 lakh while the top-end diesel model comes in at Rs. 7.52 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). This new C segment sedan will offer competition to the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and a few others. The petrol version of the Sail sedan houses a 1.2-litre Smartech, 4-cylinder engine while the diesel version gets the tried and true 1.3-litre Multijet engine from Fiat. The Chevrolet Sail petrol sedan offers 18.2 kmpl while the Sail sedan diesel hands out 22.1 kmpl.
